Large Multispecialty practice searching for several physicians needs for a Palliative Hospitalist and Palliative Primary Care physician.

Palliative Primary Care
Seeking a physician with an interest in providing more patient centered, humanistic care on our innovative palliative care service. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in internal medicine or family practice, with interest and/or experience in hospital medicine, and be certified or willing to pursue certification in hospice and palliative medicine.
The palliative medicine inpatient service was established in 2005 and provides symptom control expertise and comprehensive care for patients with advanced disease using the palliative care philosophy
This full-time practice would include caring for palliative patients in both the outpatient and inpatient settings
The palliative medicine service is currently staffed by 2 physician and 3 nurse practitioner FTE’s, providing 24/7 full continuum coverage (night coverage provided by hospitalist and hospice night staff)
Average census is 8 to 10 patients, including inpatient hospice patients
The practice is designed to enable completion of the necessary requirements for board certification in hospice and palliative medicine by experience
Palliative Hospitalist
The service was established in 2005 and provides symptom control expertise and comprehensive care for patients with advanced disease using the palliative care philosophy
Service is currently staffed by 2 physician and 3 nurse practitioners FTE’s, providing 24/7 full continuum coverage (night coverage is provided by hospitalist and hospice night staff)
Medical director is board certified in hospice and palliative medicine, and 3 other team members are pending certification in 2008
7 on 7 off schedule can be arranged!
Average census is 8 to 10 patients, including inpatient hospice patients
